Children (bambini) up to 4 years old travel free (gratis) in both first and second class, but don’t have the right to occupy a seat.

Children 5 to 12 years old can obtain a 50% (or 30% for sleeping-car trips) reduction on the ticket price.

Groups can receive a discount on tickets for first and second class on most trains: 20% off for groups from 10 to 49 people, 30% off for groups of more than 50 people.

Groups travelling on regional trains receive a 10% discount on the ticket.
